"We practice what we preach: sovereignty over your data."
We use Kaunta, a self-hosted, privacy-focused web analytics platform
running at census.derails.dev.
Kaunta is open source: github.com/seuros/kaunta | seuros.github.io/kaunta
Built with Go + PostgreSQL 17. Because PostgreSQL is the only real database.
What Kaunta collects:
What Kaunta does NOT collect:
Self-hosted means we control the data. No Google Analytics. No Facebook Pixel. No surveillance capitalism.
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare will log:
This is infrastructure. Asking Cloudflare not to log is like asking your country to not have records of your existence. They're the pipe, they see the water.
Cloudflare's privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
Why Cloudflare? They provide free IPv4→IPv6 proxying (our servers are IPv6-only for cost savings) and DDoS protection.
We don't use cookies. Check your browser's developer tools. Zero cookies.
No Google Analytics. No Facebook Pixel. No TikTok tracking. No advertising networks. Just our self-hosted Kaunta.
We don't sell analytics data to advertisers. We don't sell anything to anyone. This is propaganda, not a data mining operation.
You can't create an account on this site. No login. No registration. No password database to leak.
We don't collect email addresses. No newsletter. No mailing list. No spam.
Unlike Slack and Discord, we don't read your visits to train AI models. We see page view counts, not your life story.
What data do we have about you?
Aggregated page view statistics. We can't identify you individually because we don't store IP addresses or use cookies.
Can you delete your data?
Since we don't collect personally identifiable information, there's nothing to delete. Your visit is a number in a counter, not a profile.
Can you opt out of analytics?
Yes. Kaunta respects the Do Not Track (DNT) header.
Enable DNT in your browser:
No uBlock needed. No extensions required. Just a browser setting. Kaunta respects your choice.
We comply with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) by not collecting personal data in the first place.
Data location: Kaunta runs on Hetzner servers in Falkenstein, Germany (EU jurisdiction).
Notice the difference: Corporate privacy policies use words with double meanings. "We may share data with partners" = we sell your data. "Legitimate interest" = we do what we want.
Dagma is different: This site works with curl. No React. No JavaScript required to read it. Plain HTML. View source. Read the policy without running their surveillance code.

Questions about privacy? Kaunta is open source. Verify the code on GitHub:
Don't trust us. Verify on GitHub. Audit the open source code. Check your browser's network requests. This is sovereignty: trust through verification, not faith.
